How To Enable Search Engine Friendly URLs in WordPress
You may have noticed many WordPress websites have nice links instead of the old “?page=1” type URLs, but did you know, they are not only good for search engine optimisation, but also very easy to enable?
Follow these simple steps below to change all of your links automatically to the pretty URL structure. Pages will use the post name to determine the URL.
1. Navigate to Settings->Permalinks:
2. Choose the “post name” option, then click on save changes:
Once you’ve done this, all of your old style links such as yoursite.com/?page=2 will become yoursite.com/page-name
WordPress will automatically update your menus for you so you don’t need to worry about that, and your blog or website will now be more attractive to search engines, all for around 2 minutes of work!
